PTI Senior Leader Urges National Dialogue for Pakistan’s Stability

Lahore: Musarat Jamshed Cheema, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has called upon all influential figures, including the Supreme Court and other institutions, to engage in a dialogue aimed at stabilizing Pakistan during a critical time of economic and social challenges. Speaking to the media after appearing in a special anti-terrorism court, Cheema emphasized the nation’s struggles with poverty and governance issues.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema’s statements highlighted the dire situation of millions in Pakistan lacking sufficient food, with a plea for respect towards the democratic mandate and rule of law. She argued that the solution to the country’s ongoing issues resides with prisoner 804, referring to Imran Khan, held in Adiala Jail, whom she believes can steer the country towards improvement and genuine freedom.

Cheema criticized the approach of banning popular political movements, suggesting that it would only exacerbate public discontent rather than addressing the underlying issues. She called for a collective effort within the constitutional framework to move the country forward, stressing that confrontational tactics and ignoring popular will are not wise strategies. Additionally, she touched upon the promises made by various political leaders regarding energy subsidies, reflecting on the political commitments made to the populace.

The PTI leader’s remarks underscore a critical juncture for Pakistan, where dialogue and adherence to constitutional norms are presented as the keys to national progress and stability.
