Lahore: Musrat Jamshed Cheema, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has criticized the current government’s economic policies and development strategies in Punjab, highlighting the growing gap between public claims and actual efforts on the ground. Cheema articulated concerns about expensive electricity and the cut in development budgets, which he claims are hampering welfare schemes and increasing the burden on citizens. He pointed to the crucial upcoming rally on September 8 as a potential turning point in PTI’s ongoing struggle against these issues.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema emphasized the misleading nature of the promotional campaigns by the government, which depict an idealized scenario of prosperity in Punjab, contradicting the reality faced by its residents. He remarked on the severe economic strain that has forced families to prioritize basic survival over education, with children being kept at home rather than attending school. The senior leader affirmed PTI’s readiness for the upcoming rally, expressing hope for a significant public turnout in support of the party’s cause.
