KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi General Secretary, Arslan Khalid, has issued a forceful rebuke of the Sindh Police and the provincial Ministry of Interior following the release of a preliminary medical report in the Meer Raza murder case. According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Khalid stated that the medical report discredits initial police claims, showing that the victim was shot from behind and bore torture marks.

Khalid highlighted that these findings indicate a premeditated act rather than an accident, raising questions about whom the authorities might be protecting. He criticized the Sindh Police's investigative capabilities, referencing the 14 points detailed by the police surgeon that allegedly expose the force's failures.

Expressing concerns about the law and order situation in Karachi, Khalid called for the immediate resignation of the Inspector General of Sindh and the provincial Interior Minister, citing negligence. He accused the police of prioritizing cover-ups over citizen safety, resulting in a city plagued by crime.

Khalid further criticized the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party, questioning the value placed on citizens' lives under its governance. He affirmed PTI's commitment to advocating for justice in legislative forums and supporting Meer Raza's family until those responsible for his murder are held accountable.
