Lahore: In a poignant discussion with the media outside a special anti-terrorism court, Musrat Jamshed Cheema, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), highlighted the severe economic hardships facing the population, indicating that the party is focused on reconciliation rather than retribution in the current political climate.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema emphasized the dire economic conditions that have led to people struggling to afford basic necessities like electricity. He voiced concerns about the potential consequences if these pressures lead to public unrest. Cheema underscored that PTI does not harbor a spirit of revenge and is prepared to forgive past grievances, focusing instead on moving forward and addressing the country’s challenges.

During his statement, Cheema also commented on the political dynamics involving Nawaz Sharif, suggesting that internal family disputes had marginalized the former prime minister in Pakistani politics. He further called on the public to pray for the nation’s security, constitution, and the Supreme Court during the month of Muharram, expressing his support for the judiciary as a crucial pillar of stability in Pakistan.
