Lahore: PTCL Group, a major telecommunication services provider in Pakistan, has partnered with Atlas Honda Ltd. to enhance road safety through a specialized training initiative for motorcyclists. This collaboration, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), highlights PTCL’s dedication to improving safe commuting practices, particularly for their field staff who frequently use motorcycles.
According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, the MoU was signed at the Atlas Honda Limited office in Lahore, with Taimoor Khan, Group VP HSE & Sustainability PTCL & Ufone 4G, and Zafar Iqbal, GM After Sales, Atlas Honda, officiating the agreement. The partnership introduces “Training of Trainers” (TOT) sessions, conducted by certified Atlas Honda trainers, designed to equip PTCL’s field staff with essential and advanced road safety skills.
The training program aims to cover a wide array of topics, ranging from basic bike handling techniques to comprehensive road safety protocols. It is intended to foster a culture of safety among PTCL employees, increasing their awareness and reducing road-related risks. The MoU further illustrates PTCL Group’s commitment to employee well-being and community welfare by promoting sustainable safety practices.
The initiative is expected to create a ripple effect, with PTCL employees who undergo the TOT sessions spreading the message of safe riding, thereby amplifying the project’s positive impact.
