Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended congratulations to Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi following the historic victory of her Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in Japan's lower house elections, where the party secured a significant majority in the House of Representatives.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari highlighted that this decisive electoral outcome demonstrates the Japanese people's confidence in Prime Minister Takaichi's leadership and dedication to strengthening Japan. The President remarked that the scale of the mandate, which marks a record for the party since 1955, underscores public approval of Prime Minister Takaichi's policy direction and governance agenda during a critical period for Japan.
