Quetta: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that the party’s delegation will participate in the All Parties Conference (APC) convened by the Prime Minister to discuss national peace and security strategies. The conference, set to take place in Quetta, aims to unite various political parties in their approach to combating terrorism and ensuring the stability of the democratic process in the country.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the importance of a unified approach to national issues during a press conference at the CM Secretariat in Quetta. He highlighted the party’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and fostering consensus on various national matters, including the recent budget concerns for fiscal year 2024-25. The chairman was accompanied by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, PPP Balochistan President Changez Jamali, and PPP MNA Ejaz Jhakrani.
During his two-day visit to Balochistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari discussed ongoing development projects and future plans for the province. He reiterated the PPP’s dedication to utilizing Balochistan’s mineral resources for the welfare of its people and outlined the government’s efforts to improve healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment in the region. Specific initiatives include a state-of-the-art hospital, a mobile health service extending to remote areas, and interest-free loans to empower Balochistan’s women financially.
The chairman also addressed the ongoing recovery efforts from the 2022 floods, announcing accelerated housing projects for the affected residents, modeled after successful initiatives in Sindh. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to provide tangible benefits to the citizens of Balochistan and strengthen the province’s infrastructure and economic base.
