Pakistan Fast Bowlers Ruled Out of ODI Series Against Zimbabwe

Bulawayo: Fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani have been ruled out of the ongoing One-Day International series against Zimbabwe due to injuries and will return to Pakistan today. Ahmed sustained a hamstring injury, while Shahnawaz suffered a left ankle injury during a training session on Sunday. Initial scans and clinical assessments confirmed their respective injuries.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, upon their return to Lahore, both players will report to the National Cricket Academy for rehabilitation and will follow the prescribed protocols to ensure a safe return to competitive cricket. Abbas Afridi and Jahandad Khan have been named as their replacements and will be available for selection in the decisive match of the series on Thursday. The two are also part of the Pakistan team for the upcoming T20I series in Bulawayo, scheduled for 1, 3, and 5 December.

Additionally, Ahmed Daniyal has been replaced by Aamir Jamal for the three T20I matches. Aamir, who is part of the ODI squad, has featured in both of the ODI games played so far. The Pakistan T20I squad is led by captain Salman Ali Agha and includes players such as Aamir Jamal, Haris Rauf, and Usman Khan, among others.
