National Seminar in Islamabad Focuses on Jinnah’s Vision for Pakistan’s Future

Islamabad: A National Seminar titled “Futuristic Vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for a Strong and Prosperous Pakistan” was held at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), bringing together scholars, faculty members, researchers, and students to discuss the ongoing relevance of Jinnah’s vision for Pakistan.

The event, organized by the Islamic Research Institute in collaboration with the Department of History and Pakistan Studies and the Paigham-e-Pakistan Centre, focused on Jinnah’s political thought, his constitutional approach, and guiding principles for nation-building. Discussions highlighted themes such as governance, rule of law, social justice, and national cohesion.

Senator (R) Lt. Gen. Abdul Qayyum and Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Suddle addressed the audience, emphasizing the need for national policies to align with the ideals of Pakistan’s founder. Speakers from Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in Kazakhstan, including Mr. Furkat Dadazhanov and Prof. Dr. Saifunov Baurzhan, provided international perspectives, offering comparative insights into leadership and regional cooperation.

The seminar opened with welcome remarks by Prof. Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ahmad, followed by a national song performed by IIUI students. Speakers stressed the critical role of academic institutions in fostering informed discourse on the ideological foundations and future direction of Pakistan.

The event concluded with a briefing on its objectives by Mr. Ateeq-ur-Rehman, a vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General of the Islamic Research Institute, and the distribution of souvenirs to distinguished guests. Dr. Hafiz Aftab Ahmad moderated the session.
