Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Mussarat Jamshed Cheema has shared details of her recent meeting with Imran Khan, highlighting the challenges faced by party members. This marks her first meeting with the former Prime Minister in nearly 18 months. Cheema described the encounter as a significant moment amidst ongoing political tensions.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema recounted on the social media platform X that Khan expressed concern for her husband, Jamshed Cheema’s health, and inquired about her recent arrest and treatment. The meeting, described as extensive, included a message from Khan to party members and the public, urging patience and resilience in the face of what he termed as unjust cases against the party in various cities. Cheema conveyed Khan’s assurance that the current period of challenges would eventually subside. Despite the ongoing legal and political hurdles, Cheema noted that the meeting with Khan had reinvigorated her and other members of the party.
