Turbat: The Directorate of Graduate Studies at the University of Turbat conducted a viva voce examination for an MPhil scholar in English Literature, marking a significant academic achievement for the institution. Zubair Saleem, the MPhil candidate, successfully defended his thesis during the session chaired by Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and IT, on May 12, 2026.

According to University of Turbat, the examination featured external examiner Prof. Dr. Najia Asrar Zaidi from the University of Balochistan, Quetta, who evaluated Mr. Saleem’s work. His research was supervised by Dr. Adnan Riaz, Assistant Professor, with additional guidance from co-supervisor Mr. Mazar Ali, a lecturer in the Department of English. The session was also attended by Dr. Shah Meer Baloch, Head of the Department of English, Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Controller of Examination, and Dr. Waseem Barkat, Director of Graduate Studies.
