Memorable Ceremony for the Book The Paradox of Maya by Renowned UAE-Based Author Asma Jan Mohammed

Karachi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) successfully organized a dignified and memorable Book Forum at ICAP House, centered on the newly launched book The Paradox of Maya: How to Balance Ambition and Integrity by renowned finance leader, author, and columnist from the United Arab Emirates, Asma Jan Mohammed. Asma Jan Mohammed graced the occasion as the guest of honor. Her literary contribution is regarded as a unique work that highlights the deep contradictions of leadership, ethics, and decision-making.

The opening session of the ceremony was attended by ICAP leaders and distinguished guests. In her keynote address, author Asma Jan Mohammed shed light on the challenges of future decision-making, the lack of strong leadership, and the moral decline in society. While sharing her thoughts, she remarked, “This is the time to focus not only on corporate culture but also on business ethics. Moreover, instead of short-term profits, we must adopt the mindset of long-term value creation, which I have discussed in detail in my book.” Explaining the central theme of her book, she added, “True leadership lies in balancing the fire of ambition with the light of integrity.” Her address proved to be a source of enlightenment for the audience, making it highly relevant in the context of current economic and social realities.

The event was hosted by Muhammad Moin Khan, Chairman of Muniff Ziauddin and Co., who warmly welcomed all participants and dignitaries in his opening remarks.
