Islamabad, 16 Oct 2023: The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2024, an esteemed exchange program in the USA, is now accepting applications from young leaders globally. This announcement comes from a press release by COMSATS University Islamabad. The fellowship aims to hone management and leadership skills crucial for addressing challenges in education, health, and economic security.
Open to individuals aged 18 to 26 from all corners of the world, the MCW Young Leaders Fellowship provides an unparalleled opportunity for participants to engage in a year-long program. A significant portion of this, ten days in July 2024, will be spent in New York, USA. Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. students from any academic background can apply, with the primary requirement being a novel idea.
The financial benefits accompanying the fellowship are considerable. International participants will have their international economy airfare tickets covered, while participants from the United States will receive coverage for domestic economy flights. Other provisions include accommodation from July 8 to July 18, 2024, three daily meals from July 9 to July 18, 2024, round trip travel between New York City and Burlington, Vermont, and public transportation from major New York airports. Accommodations during the fellowship will be arranged at New York University in New York and Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont.
Eligibility criteria for the fellowship emphasize inclusivity. Young leaders from any discipline or background can apply. However, they must identify a specific challenge in their community related to education, health, or economic security. Additionally, they should be between 18 to 26 years old by the start of the program on June 1, 2024, demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken, and must qualify for the necessary visa and travel documentation.
To apply, prospective participants need to submit an application form in English, a resume, and two letters of recommendation. It’s noteworthy to mention that MCW mandates all accepted participants to deposit a fee of $100 by February 9, 2024. This deposit, however, will be refunded in full to the participants on July 18, 2024, upon their arrival in the USA.
