Master Oil Inter Club Cricket Tournament Sees High Scores and Tight Matches in Karachi

Karachi: The Master Oil Inter Club Cricket Tournament, supported by Master Oil Lubricants and organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, featured five thrilling matches yesterday, with standout performances including a double century and a century that captivated local cricket fans.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the tournament’s recent games showcased exceptional talent, particularly at the Bakai Ground where the Bakai Dolphins secured a massive 318-run victory over Young Cooperators Cricket Club. Ubisullah was the star of the show, smashing a brilliant 200 off 27 fours and 8 sixes, contributing to the Dolphins’ formidable score of 486/6. Despite Haseeb Hashmi’s valiant 55, the Young Cooperators could only muster 168/9 in their reply.

At Abbasi Gymkhana Ground, Iqbal Cricket Club overcame Khatri Sports by six wickets. Khatri Sports set a target of 210, courtesy of Khalid Khan’s 56. Iqbal Club’s Mahmood Khan played a crucial knock of 54 runs to reach the target with four wickets in hand.

The Vital Five Cricket Club also claimed victory at Young Fighter Ground, defeating Gaddafi Gymkhana by seven wickets. Gaddafi Gymkhana were restricted to 163 runs, a target that Vital Five easily surpassed with Rehab Ahmed scoring a quick 50.

The fourth match at Afza Ground saw Khadija Cricket Club dominating Qasba Sports by eight wickets. Hazrat Karam of Khadija Club took an impressive five-wicket haul, allowing only 26 runs, which paved the way for an easy chase of 133 runs.

The final match featured at Students Sports Ground where Rahbar Sports beat Abu Rehan Cricket Club by 38 runs, thanks to Syed Imran’s spectacular century of 124 runs, propelling Rahbar Sports to a total of 253/4. Abu Rehan Club, in their chase, fell short at 215/9 despite contributions from Muhammad Ali and Samir.
