Journalist Anwar Pakistani Honored for Contributions to Pakistani Journalism

Karachi, The Mohib Qaumi Social Council (MQSC) of Pakistan, in collaboration with Azad Ittehad Party and Tehreek Nafeaz Urdu and Provincial Language, organized a ceremony to honor the senior journalist Muhammad Anwar bin Abbas, known as Anwar Pakistani. The event, held at a local hotel in Karachi, coincided with Iqbal Day and celebrated Anwar Pakistani’s contributions to journalism and his recent appointment as chairman of the think tank committee of All Pakistan Regional Newspapers Society.

According to Mohib Qaumi Social Council (MQSC), the ceremony was presided over by Syed Naseem Shah Advocate, a prominent representative of civil society. The event featured speeches from notable figures such as Muhammad Younis Sayani, Allama Abdul Khaliq Faridi, Dr. Allama Shah Firozuddin Rahmani, Journalist Afzal Warsi, and others. The speakers highlighted Anwar Pakistani’s bravery and patriotism in journalism, comparing his concern for the nation to that of the poet and oriental thinker of Pakistan, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Anwar Pakistani was lauded for his dedication to serving the country and nation, with speakers noting that his patriotism has transformed him from Anwar Abbas to Anwar Pakistani. The speakers emphasized that the best way to pay tribute to Iqbal is to be unhesitant in making sacrifices for the defense and protection of the idea of Pakistan. The ceremony also focused on the need to uphold and protect Allama Iqbal’s ideology of Pakistan, a concept that resonates deeply with the ethos and aspirations of the Pakistani people.

The event was not only a recognition of Anwar Pakistani’s significant contributions to journalism but also a reflection of the wider cultural and ideological values that shape the national identity of Pakistan.
