Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Condemns Aggression in Kashmir and Palestine, Criticizes National Economic Issues

Lahore: Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) has raised serious concerns over the current national and international situations, condemning Indian and Israeli aggression in Kashmir and Palestine and urging global intervention. The party also criticized domestic economic challenges, including corruption, IMF pressure, and unemployment, as alarming for the public.

A meeting of JUP’s Central Majlis-e-Shura and Majlis-e-Aamila, chaired by Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, was held in Lahore. Participants condemned the ongoing aggression in Kashmir and Palestine, highlighting the global implications for peace and justice. They called for immediate international action to support the oppressed.

The assembly expressed grave concerns over terrorism in Pakistan, paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The economic situation, marked by corruption and rising unemployment, was criticized, with reports from the State Bank and IMF pressure noted as troubling.

JUP also condemned policies perceived as marginalizing Ahl-e-Sunnat and restricting religious freedoms. The meeting criticized laws affecting religious conversion and marriage, emphasizing these as contrary to Islamic values. Attempts to abolish Islamic laws and promote Qadianism were also condemned.

The importance of unity among Ahl-e-Sunnat was stressed, with appreciation for the leadership of Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair. The meeting called for strengthening Jamiat Ulema Pakistan’s efforts for unity.

Attendees included prominent figures such as Qari Zawar Bahadur, Pir Syed Muhammad Safdar Shah Gilani, and Mufti Azhar Mahmood, among others. The leaders emphasized the need for unity and stronger organization in response to national and international issues.
