Bahawalpur: The Department of Political Science at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is set to host an open defense for a Ph.D. thesis examining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and its implications for Pakistan. The defense, scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2024, will take place in the Khawja Fareed Auditorium at the Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus.
According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, the Ph.D. scholar, Rana Pervaiz Iqbal, will present his thesis titled “Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Opportunities and Challenges for Pakistan.” The session will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Syed Musawar Hussain Bukhari, Chairman of the Department of Political Science at IUB. Dr. Shahida Ameer Chandio, Chairperson of the Department of Political Science at the University of Sindh’s Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) in Khairpur, will serve as the external examiner.
