International Biosciences Conference Spotlights Interdisciplinary Innovation in Lahore

Lahore, The Dr. Ikram ul Haq Institute of Biotechnology at Government College University hosted the Sixth International Conference on “Advances in Biosciences,” calling attention to the critical role of interdisciplinary research and innovation in solving global issues. According to Government College University, the event, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahmad Adnan, convened leading figures in the field, including Professor Dr. Anwar Malik, President of the Biological Society of Pakistan. The conference showcased a robust response to its call for papers, receiving 128 submissions from both national and international universities and research institutions.

The conference highlighted the historical and current achievements of the Pakistan Biological Society, with Prof. Dr. Kauser Abdullah Malik, a former federal minister on food security, reminiscing about the society’s longstanding contribution to the scientific community since 1955. Underlining the advancements in the biological sciences in Pakistan, the conference served as a testament to the nation’s growth in this domain, propelled by liberal policies and consistent government backing.
