Integration of New Technologies in Defense System is Crucial, Says Altaf Shakoor

Karachi: Pakistan’s recent defense success against India underscores the necessity for integrating advanced technology into military operations, according to Pasban Democratic Party Chairman Altaf Shakoor. On Sunday, Shakoor highlighted the role of modern technology in the country’s defense strategy, emphasizing that adopting emerging technologies is essential for future security.

Shakoor extended his congratulations to the nation, commending the armed forces for their bravery and technological prowess in countering foreign aggression. He praised Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and the Pakistan Air Force for their leadership, noting the government’s effective diplomatic efforts as a collective victory.

Addressing the Indus Water Treaty, Shakoor asserted that India should be engaged with assertive diplomacy, particularly concerning the Kashmir issue. He suggested that military action could be a solution if India continues to deny Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

Shakoor emphasized the changing nature of warfare, advocating for a defense system overhaul focusing on drones, missiles, and cyber-communication systems. He called for increased investment in research and development of modern defense technologies.

Concerning internal security, Shakoor urged action against internal threats posed by proxies and agents of foreign forces within Pakistan. He stressed the importance of resolving legitimate internal issues while addressing external influences.

Highlighting economic challenges, Shakoor remarked that a strong economy is vital for national defense. He urged the government to reduce reliance on foreign loans and focus on internal resource generation through agriculture, urbanization, and industrialization, thus strengthening Pakistan’s position globally.
