Habib University Alumni Excel in Global Graduate Programs and Innovate in Technology

According to Habib University, several of its recent graduates have been accepted into top-tier graduate programs, including at Harvard, Stanford, and the University of Chicago, with the university’s Graduate School Curation Program playing a pivotal role in these achievements. For instance, graduates Hafsa Amir and Washain Kalat are set to pursue Master of Divinity degrees at Harvard University, while Qaima Hossain has been accepted into Stanford University’s Ph.D. program in Comparative Literature.

In addition to academic successes, Habib University alumni are making strides in the technology sector. The university highlighted projects like IntellicropPK, an AI-driven solution for small-scale farmers presented at COP28 UAE by Computer Engineering students Nimra Sohail and Areeb Adnan Khan. Moreover, Muhammad Hasham Qazi, a 2023 Electrical Engineering graduate, has developed a VR-based training platform for emergency fire-handling services, which was published in an IEEE journal.

Daniyal Lightwala, a 2024 Electrical Engineering graduate, began his career as a Trainee Engineer at K-Electric, while Dania Salman, a 2024 Computer Science alumna, secured a position as Software Engineer at D-Global.

Team PureFlow from Habib University earned a second runner-up spot at the Invent for the Planet 2024 International Finals in France with their water sustainability solution.
