Lahore: Faculty members from the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences attended the 3rd International Conference on Advancing Food Systems for a Sustainable and Nourished Future. The event highlighted innovative approaches and research in the field of food systems.
Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan from the University of Central Punjab served as a Session Chair at the conference. Dr. Awan presented research focused on the development of low glycemic index cookies, which were formulated using stevia and barley. The study aimed to provide healthier options for consumers seeking to manage their blood sugar levels.
In addition, Mr. Waleed Sultan delivered an oral presentation at the conference. His presentation emphasized the One Health approach, which integrates human, animal, and environmental health to address nutrition and health challenges comprehensively.
