London: England has announced a change in its squad for the third and deciding One Day International (ODI) match against Sri Lanka, with Dan Lawrence coming in to replace the injured Jos Buttler. The series is currently tied at 1-1, and the decisive match is scheduled to take place at The Oval.

According to International Cricket Council, Buttler, who played a significant role in England's chase during the second ODI, will miss the series finale due to a left hamstring injury. Despite scoring 31 runs in England's victory in the first match, Buttler was pivotal in the second match, scoring 66 before experiencing discomfort that forced him off the field. Though he attempted to return later in the match, England ultimately fell short by 16 runs.

Dan Lawrence, who has not yet played in the limited-overs format, is set to make his ODI debut. Lawrence has played in 17 Test matches for England, with his most recent performance against Pakistan yielding 65 runs and two wickets.
