Nagoya: In a decisive display of skill at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Abhay Singh from India and Eain Yow Ng from Malaysia secured their places in the men's singles squash final. The semi-final matches, held at the Nagoya Kinjo Futo Arena, saw Singh defeat Pakistan’s Muhammad Ashab Irfan in straight games, while Ng overcame another Pakistani competitor, Noor Zaman, also without dropping a game.

According to Pakistan Squash Federation, the semi-finals marked a significant achievement for Pakistan, as their players made it to the medal table in the Individual Event of Squash at the Asian Games for the first time in 17 years. Despite their defeats, both Irfan and Zaman will have a chance to secure a bronze medal when they face off in the match for third place.

The match for third place is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:45 PM JST, with Irfan and Zaman competing against each other, ensuring a medal for Pakistan. The final match between Singh and Ng promises to be a highlight of the squash event at the Games.
