Islamabad: The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Mr. Jiang Zaidong, met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr to discuss matters of bilateral significance.

President Zardari emphasized the importance of the relationship with China, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to enhance cooperation in trade, economy, culture, and regional connectivity. He pointed out the potential for increased collaboration in these areas.

He underscored the necessity of joint efforts to promote peace, security, and prosperity in the region. President Zardari acknowledged China’s unwavering support in challenging times and expressed gratitude for the steadfast partnership.

The President also lauded China’s contribution to Pakistan’s socio-economic development and extended his thanks to the Chinese leadership and people for their ongoing support.

During the meeting, Ambassador Jiang conveyed a special birthday message from President Xi Jinping, offering warm wishes to President Zardari for his upcoming birthday.
