Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Reaffirms Commitment to Minority Rights on National Minorities Day

Karachi: On National Minorities Day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), reiterated his dedication to protecting the rights and fostering the development of minorities in Pakistan, emphasizing the core principles his party stands for.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, in a statement released by the Media Cell Bilawal House, Chairman Bhutto Zardari highlighted the PPP’s historical commitment to minority rights as enshrined in the 1973 Constitution. He referenced the legacy of his grandfather, Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and his mother, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who envisioned a cohesive society where people of all faiths live in harmony.

The Chairman also recalled the inception of National Minorities Day by President Asif Ali Zardari, aiming to celebrate the essential role of minorities in Pakistan’s societal fabric and promote societal tolerance. Bhutto Zardari’s message called on all Pakistanis to stand against discrimination and intolerance, and to renew their commitment to justice, equality, and tolerance.
