HARIPUR: The University of Haripur (UoH) recently held the 5th Digital Pakistan Cybersecurity Hackathon Training Workshop, collaborating with Ignite (MoITT) to conduct the event from September 10-12, 2026. The workshop provided intensive, hands-on training to over 250 participants from a variety of regional institutions, including UoH, PAF-IAST, AUST, UoW, NUST, COMSATS, and several local postgraduate colleges.

According to The University of Haripur, the visiting Ignite team and trainers praised the university's hospitality and organization of the event, confirming their intentions to hold future national training events at the location. The workshop also highlighted the achievements of UoH's Department of IT students, Atta Ur Rehman and Musayab Shah, who secured the top two positions among more than 200 participants in training evaluations.

The event, organized under the supervision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abid Farid, Dean Prof. Dr. Mukhtaj Khan, HoD Dr. Yousaf Saeed, Focal Person Dr. Muhammad Faizan Khan, and Deputy Director IT Mr. Athar Kaleem, received significant support from the university's administrative and works departments.
