LAHORE: Professor Dr. Kafeel Ahmed has been appointed as the new Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Central Punjab. With a doctorate in Civil Engineering from the University of Leipzig, Germany, Dr. Ahmed brings a wealth of experience from his roles in academia, including his tenure as a professor and head of department at the University of Central Punjab since 2017.

According to University of Central Punjab, Dr. Ahmed has been instrumental in implementing the Outcome-Based Education and Assessment program and achieving Level II accreditation for the BSc Civil Engineering program under the Washington Accord. His research expertise includes the structural performance of various concrete types, with his work featured in journals such as ACI Materials Journal. Dr. Ahmed has also played a key role in organizing international conferences on civil engineering and has provided technical services to major organizations. Additionally, he was shortlisted for vice chancellor positions at several universities in Pakistan.
