University of Wah Engages in High-Level Forum to Bridge Academia-Industry Gap

ISLAMABAD: The University of Wah (UW) participated in a significant Vice Chancellors' Industry Forum held at the FPCCI Conference Room in Islamabad, collaborating with OIC-COMSTECH. The event, which took place on September 8, 2026, aimed to devise strategies to close the academia-industry gap and boost technology-driven SME growth in Pakistan.

According to University of Wah, the institution was represented by Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director of ORIC, and Mr. Aman Khan, Manager of Placement. The high-level forum brought together leaders from academia and industry, higher education stakeholders, and government officials. Discussions centered on aligning academic research with industrial needs, enhancing direct faculty-industry linkages, and expanding opportunities for student placements.
