KARACHI: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, in partnership with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), hosted a Qawwali Night at Burns Garden to mark the Defence Day of Pakistan on September 6. The event attracted a large audience, including notable figures such as Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab and President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah, who gathered to commemorate the national day.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the evening commenced with the national anthem and included performances of national and patriotic songs by singers Hanif Ikhlaq, Ameer Ali, Shahzaib, and Aroosa Ali. Renowned Qawwals Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad, along with their group, delivered captivating performances that evoked a sense of patriotism among attendees. The event, hosted by Noman Khan, aimed to pay tribute to the martyrs and honor the nation's Ghazis. President Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed Shah emphasized the importance of the occasion, highlighting the victory of September 6 and the collaborative efforts to organize the event for families.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab praised the performances and expressed his commitment to the city's development. He commended the Qawwals and the participation of children in the event, acknowledging the spirit of unity and resilience among the Pakistani nation. The event concluded with Mayor Wahab leading the audience in chants of "Pakistan Zindabad," reflecting the patriotic fervor of the night.
