Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed Wednesday that Aiman Anwer, the fast bowler who has represented Pakistan in numerous international cricket tournaments, has retired from international cricket with immediate effect. Anwer, 34, leaves the field after a career that saw her play in 37 T20 Internationals and eight One-Day Internationals since her debut in 2016.

According to International Cricket Council, Anwer made her debut for Pakistan Women in a T20I against England and became the 37th player to represent Pakistan in T20Is. Over her career, she claimed 29 wickets in T20Is and four in the ODI format. Her last outing in international cricket was at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa, where she played her final T20I against West Indies.

Anwer was a part of the Pakistan squads that competed in the Women's T20 World Cups of 2018, 2020, and 2023, as well as the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in 2022, held in New Zealand. Her final ODI appearance came during the league stage match against England in the 2022 World Cup.
