Dubai: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has unveiled its squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, marking the team's third appearance at the global cricketing event. Star batter Muhammad Waseem will lead the 15-member squad as they prepare to compete in the tournament, set to take place in India and Sri Lanka next month.

According to International Cricket Council, the UAE secured their spot in the 20-team tournament by defeating Japan in a critical match during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifier held in Oman. The squad comprises players including Alishan Sharafu, Aryansh Sharma, and Dhruv Parashar, among others. The coaching team is led by Lalchand Rajput, with former Pakistan international Yasir Arafat as the fast bowling coach and Zimbabwe's Stanley Chioza as the fielding coach.

The UAE, which previously participated in the T20 World Cup in 2014 and 2022, is set to face Ireland in a two-match T20I series before the World Cup. They will also play warm-up matches against Nepal and Italy on February 3 and February 6, respectively. The UAE's World Cup campaign will commence against New Zealand on February 10 in Chennai, followed by matches against Canada, Afghanistan, and South Africa in Group D.
