USA Names Squad for 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka and India

New York: The United States has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka and India next month. Monank Patel will lead the team, which includes ten players returning from the squad that participated in the 2024 edition of the tournament.

According to International Cricket Council, the USA will make its second appearance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, having reached the Super 8 stage in its debut in 2024. The squad consists of Monank Patel (C), Jessy Singh, Andries Gous, Shehan Jayasuriya, Milind Kumar, Shayan Jahangir, Saiteja Mukkamala, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, Harmeet Singh, Nosthush Kenjige, Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Saurabh Netravalkar, Ali Khan, Mohammad Mohsin, and Shubham Ranjane.

In the 2024 edition, wicketkeeper-batter Andries Gous led with the bat, scoring 219 runs, while Saurabh Netravalkar took a tournament-high six wickets. Shubham Ranjane is set to make his T20I debut at the event, and Mohammad Mohsin and Shehan Jayasuriya could earn their first international caps for the USA.

Placed in Group A, the USA will face India, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Namibia in the group stage. The team will kick off its campaign against India on February 7 in Mumbai, followed by matches against Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Namibia in Colombo and Chennai.
