Islamabad: The Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, has expressed deep concern over the deaths of 15 children at PIMS Hospital, describing it as a tragic and distressing incident. He emphasized the need for a transparent and impartial inquiry to determine the cause of the tragedy and identify those responsible.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Bukhari, speaking at the hospital in Islamabad, pointed to serious negligence and dereliction of duty as possible reasons for the incident. He called for a thorough examination of the performance of the concerned ministry and insisted that accountability measures should be taken against the minister and officials if they fail to manage the hospitals effectively.

Bukhari highlighted what he described as a significant governance failure, questioning the system's ability to function efficiently. He stressed the importance of including the parents of the deceased children in the inquiry, ensuring they are fully informed and provided with satisfactory answers.

The Secretary General also urged for a comprehensive investigation into the hospital administration's negligence, particularly focusing on the potential failure to open the emergency gate and the presence of gas cylinders within hospital wards. Emphasizing the need for extensive review of safety protocols, Bukhari called for measures to prevent future tragedies.

In his concluding remarks, Bukhari demanded that the inquiry be conducted transparently and that justice be served to the bereaved families by holding those responsible accountable under the law.
