Karachi: An "Aazadi Mushaira" event was held at the residence of Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui under the Global Aafia Movement to underscore freedom's significance as a blessing. Chaired by senior poet Anwar Shaoor, the gathering saw participation from numerous supporters and featured prominent poets who recited their work, emphasizing patriotism and freedom's value.

According to Aafia Movement, the event's proceedings, led by Khalilullah Farooqi and Saima Ishaq, reflected on the challenges faced by citizens deprived of basic rights and justice. Poets expressed concern over Karachi's condition and solidarity with Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. Attendees signed an online petition urging Field Marshal General Asim Munir to advocate for Dr. Aafia's release. Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui, in her closing remarks, highlighted her family's longstanding patriotism and commitment to serving Pakistan, lamenting the obstacles faced by her sister Aafia in her educational endeavors.
