UoS Delegation Arrives in Beijing for Pak-China Youth Cultural Camp

Beijing: A delegation from the University of Sargodha has arrived in Beijing to partake in the 2026 Pak-China Youth Cultural Experience Summer Camp, an event organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Sargodha in collaboration with Henan Normal University and the Pakistan Institute of China Studies. Scheduled from August 12 to 22, the program aims to promote cultural and educational exchanges between the two nations.

According to University of Sargodha, the delegation is led by Prof. Dr. Tahir Mumtaz Awan, Dean of the Confucius Institute at the University of Sargodha. The group includes Ms. Shafaq, a Chinese language teacher, Hassan Raza, Deputy Director of the Multimedia Development Center, and students excelling in the Chinese language and China Fellowship Program. The itinerary includes visits to Beijing, Luoyang, and Xinxiang, offering participants exposure to Chinese culture, language, and history, while also fostering interactions between Pakistani and Chinese youth.

The delegation is also set to attend Pakistan Day celebrations at the Embassy of Pakistan in China. This activity underscores the ongoing cultural and educational connections between Pakistan and China. The summer camp's theme, "When Two Rivers Meet, Youth Walk Together," emphasizes its goal of nurturing mutual understanding and lasting relationships among young people from both countries.
