Lahore: The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization at the University of Central Punjab recently held a workshop titled "IPR: Patents, Copyright & Trademark" as part of its 2026 Faculty Capacity Building Workshop Series. The event focused on enhancing knowledge about intellectual property rights among faculty members to bolster research, innovation, and commercialization efforts.
According to University of Central Punjab, the workshop featured Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, who underscored the critical role of intellectual property awareness in strengthening research endeavors. The session was led by Mr. Saad Nasrullah, a WIPO Certified Master Trainer and Patent & Trademark Attorney. Mr. Nasrullah provided valuable insights into the domains of patents, copyrights, and trademarks, and discussed strategies for effectively protecting and commercializing research outputs. The workshop aimed to equip faculty with the necessary skills to navigate intellectual property challenges in academic and commercial settings.
