Lahore: The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization has organized a session focused on spin-off ventures and commercialization as part of its Faculty Capacity Building Workshop Series 2026, emphasizing the pivotal role of university spin-offs in creating societal and economic impacts.

According to University of Central Punjab, the event featured Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh who underscored the significance of commercializing research outputs and establishing university-led spin-off ventures. Dr. Hadia Awan presented on the UCP Spin-Off Ventures & Commercialization Policy, detailing its core objectives, the framework for commercialization, recognition of founders, a revenue-sharing model, and the proposed procedures for setting up university spin-offs.
