Dr. Salman Iqbal delivered a key presentation on the potential of carbon credits derived from renewable energy and mangrove restoration projects as part of the discussions.

According to University of Central Punjab, Dr. Iqbal's presentation detailed the Gold Standard Carbon Market Structure and the procedures for project registration under Pakistan's 2024 Carbon Market Policy Guidelines. The event also spotlighted The Innovators Nexus group, led by Dr. Rabia Tehseen, which is dedicated to fostering technological innovations and advancing scientific research with sustainable applications.
