Turbat: The University of Turbat (UoT) is poised to enhance its academic standing and relevance as the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, led a pivotal meeting on August 3, 2026. The session outlined strategic initiatives under the UoT Strategic Plan 2026-30, focusing on curriculum alignment with national development priorities and workforce demands, and emphasizing practical skills to boost student employability.
According to University of Turbat, the meeting, held at the campus, was attended by key university officials, including Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed and several deans and department heads. Prof. Dr. Hasan called for increased efforts in securing research projects, expanding publications, and enhancing higher education programs. He highlighted the importance of student enrollment growth, program accreditations, and obtaining Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognition for UoT's research journals.
Participants in the meeting proposed recommendations for modern academic programs that align with HEC guidelines and market needs. The discussions concluded with a commitment to expanding campus infrastructure and fostering a supportive teaching and research environment. Preparations for the Spring 2027 admissions and updates on the digitalization of the university's admission systems were also addressed.
