University of Haripur Concludes Workshop with Mental Health Kit Distribution

Haripur: A three-day mental health training workshop concluded at the University of Haripur with the distribution of mental health kits to participants. The workshop, organized by Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion and GIZ German Corporation in collaboration with Feel & Heal Psychological Centre and the university's Department of Psychology, aimed to equip students with practical skills for their fieldwork.

According to the University of Haripur, twenty-five students from its Department of Psychology and the Postgraduate College for Women participated in the event. The workshop was led by Dr. Sajid Mahmood Alvi, Associate Professor and CEO of Feel & Heal Psychological Centre. During the closing ceremony, presided over by Prof. Dr. Abid Farid, Vice Chancellor of the university, mental health kits were distributed to the attendees. Mr. Rehan, Project Officer at Handicap International, joined the ceremony to oversee the distribution.

Prof. Dr. Abid Farid acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Sajid Mahmood Alvi and the organizing teams from Handicap International and GIZ. Students expressed optimism about the benefits of the mental health kits for their future work. Dr. Mazhar, Additional Director ORIC, was also present at the event. Participants conveyed their appreciation to all involved organizations and the university administration for facilitating the workshop.
