Karachi: The Aga Khan University has announced the appointment of Dr. Kulsoom Ghias, a distinguished cancer biologist and academic leader, as the new Dean of its Faculty of Arts and Sciences. According to Aga Khan University, Dr. Ghias has a strong belief in the power of a liberal arts education to equip graduates for the challenges of a rapidly evolving world. Her educational background includes a liberal arts foundation at the University of Virginia, a PhD and postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University's Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, and an Advanced Diploma in Health Professions Education from Aga Khan University.
