Islamabad: The President and Acting Rector of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, visited Jamia Salfia Islamabad on Monday, where he interacted with students and faculty members. The visit included a tour of the seminary's facilities and a reception held in his honor.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed was welcomed at the seminary, located in Sector H-8, by the Head of Jamia Salfia Islamabad, Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Shafiq, and other faculty members. Dr. Tahir Mahmood, Deputy Shaikh ul Hadith of Jamia Salfia, conducted a comprehensive tour, during which the IIUI President engaged students in a question and answer session and visited classes for female students.
The tour included stops at the seminary's library and Al Athar Studio, followed by a reception at the central Jamia Mosque. During the event, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed addressed the students, awarding cash prizes to those who answered his questions correctly. He emphasized the significance of knowledge and the role of Islam in society, underscoring the impact of education on societal change.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed was presented with a shield by the Head of Jamia Salfia Islamabad in appreciation of his visit. Dr. Abdul Basit Faheem, Shaikh ul Hadith of Jamia Salfia Islamabad, also gifted him a copy of his book, "Al Qawa'id al Tafsiriyyah 'ind al Imam Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyyah."
