University of Central Punjab Joins Climate Change Rand D Cluster

Lahore: The University of Central Punjab (UCP) has been selected as a member university in the Punjab Higher Education Commission’s (PHEC) Research and Development Cluster focused on “Climate Change.” This initiative seeks to consolidate the research efforts of various institutions to tackle climate change challenges on both national and regional levels.

According to University of Central Punjab, the Rand D Cluster will include other member universities such as Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Government College University Faisalabad, Information Technology University Lahore, and Islamia University Bahawalpur. The collaboration is designed to leverage the research capabilities of these institutions to address pressing climate-related issues.

The formation of this cluster marks a significant step in fostering collaborative research efforts in the region, aiming to provide solutions and strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change. The selected universities are expected to play a critical role in advancing research and developing innovative approaches to environmental challenges.
