Vice Chancellor of University of Chitral Leads Institutional Review at City University Peshawar

Peshawar: The Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral spearheaded a Higher Education Commission (HEC) Institutional Performance Review Team to City University Peshawar for a comprehensive three-day evaluation. The assessment, aligning with the HEC's Quality Assurance Agency guidelines, aimed to analyze the university’s adherence to sector-wide standards and expectations.

According to University of Chitral, the review team, led by Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah, included prominent academics such as Dr. Pir Qasim Ali from HEC, Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed of the Institute of Business Administration, and other distinguished faculty members from various institutions. The team's evaluation focused on academic standards, governance, faculty support, and student services, among other areas. The visit incorporated a range of engagements, including meetings with students and faculty, as well as inspections of the university’s facilities.

The review process, structured under the PSG-2023 framework, emphasized public accountability and institutional improvement. The team engaged in a detailed examination of 16 key areas critical to the university's performance. City University of Science and Information Technology (CUSIT) is expected to develop a Compliance Action Plan based on the review's findings to foster continuous quality enhancement.
