Lahore: The University of Central Punjab recently hosted the PhD open defense of Mr. Hafiz Saadat Ali, who successfully presented his dissertation on self-censorship among Pakistani YouTube journalists. The event, organized by the Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research, highlighted the candidate's comprehensive research approach and findings.

Mr. Ali's work, titled "Self-censorship by Pakistani YouTube Journalists: A Mixed Method Study," was supervised by Dr. Noor Hayat. The study explored the dynamics and influences leading to self-censorship practices, providing a nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by journalists in the digital age.

The defense panel included external examiners Dr. Jawed Aslam from the University of Management and Technology and Dr. Syed Saqib from Forman Christian College University. Dr. Atif Ashraf served as the internal examiner during the session.
