Islamabad: The Anti-Harassment Committee of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) convened a meeting to evaluate and manage harassment complaints, adhering to the Higher Education Commission’s guidelines and the university’s Anti-Harassment Policy.
The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Akram, Director General of the Sharia Academy, and attended by committee members including Mr. Mohammad Ramzan Khan and Mr. Atiqur Rahman Chughtai, the Secretary of the Committee.
The committee highlighted the necessity of transparent and fair procedures in handling all cases. Emphasis was placed on maintaining confidentiality throughout the process.
IIUI’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against harassment was reaffirmed during the meeting. The committee stressed the significance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for both academic and professional activities within the university.
Efforts to prevent the recurrence of any toxic behavior were also discussed, underscoring the university’s dedication to fostering a dignified atmosphere for all students and staff.
