Peshawar: The 14th meeting of the Affiliation Committee at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University concluded with the granting of new affiliations to several colleges, further expanding educational opportunities for women in the region.
The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmad, the Vice Chancellor of the university, took place in the Committee Room of the university on Tuesday. During the session, the committee approved affiliations for GGDC Bara in District Khyber and GGDC Khalisa.
In addition to these affiliations, the committee also sanctioned new BS 4-year programs and Associate Degree 2-year programs across numerous public-sector female colleges. This move is seen as a significant step towards enhancing higher education access for women in the region.
The committee also reviewed ongoing affiliation-related cases of other public and private colleges, ensuring compliance with institutional standards and regulations. Such reviews are crucial for maintaining the quality and credibility of educational programs offered by affiliated institutions.
