Karachi: Appie Farms secured a thrilling two-wicket victory against Pak Saudi International in the Wing 999 Inter Departmental Cricket League Tournament held at CAA Cricket Stadium. The match featured standout performances, including a remarkable 143-run innings by Saifullah Khan and an unbeaten 111 by Fahad Ahmed.
The tournament, organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in collaboration with Wing 999 Sports, saw Pak Saudi International post a formidable total of 303/3 in their 40 overs. Saifullah Khan led the charge with a powerful display, hitting 14 boundaries and 10 sixes. Fahad Ahmed supported with his own impressive innings, remaining not out with nine boundaries and four sixes. Ali Hassan contributed with an unbeaten 21 runs.
In response, Appie Farms chased down the target, scoring 313/8 in 39.2 overs. Isam Hanif was the top scorer for Appie Farms, with 95 runs featuring 11 boundaries and seven sixes. Shayan Ahmed added to the successful chase with 80 runs, while Zeeshan Iqbal, Muhammad Abuzar, Abdul Jalil, and Danish Iqbal made valuable contributions to the total.
Nadir Ali from Pak Saudi claimed two wickets, conceding 48 runs, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Appie Farms from clinching the win. The tournament continues with the next fixture between Pakistan Stallions and Custom Academy at the same venue on Wednesday, December 24.
