Graduating Students Showcase Technological Innovations at COMSPEX 2025

Lahore: The Department of Computer Science at Forman Christian College held its annual COMSPEX – Senior Project Exhibition and Open House on December 9, 2025, presenting 15 cutting-edge projects developed by the graduating class. The event highlighted technological solutions addressing real-world challenges and featured course projects in mobile application development, IoT, artificial intelligence, databases, and web applications by junior students.

The exhibition received an enthusiastic response from junior students, faculty, and alumni. Alumni provided mentorship and feedback to the student teams. The event concluded with a Closing and Award Ceremony and a farewell to the graduating class of 2025. Esteemed faculty and distinguished guests, including Ms. Badia Raza, Chief Marketing and Outreach Officer, attended the event. Ms. Raza congratulated the students in her address.

Certificates and awards were presented to high-achieving students. The Best Poster Design Award went to Zaino Rsool and Umer Bappi for their project on optimizing factuality and trustworthiness in the Urdu language model, ALIF. The Best Project Award was given to Furqan Sikandar, Faizan Ali, and Areeba Waqar for their work on few-shot prompt-based fine-tuning for right-to-left languages. ArtLoom360, by Abdullah Rashid, Muhammad Hamza Haroon, and Nasir Khan, received a notable mention.

The event’s organization was led by the Senior Project Committee, which included Ms. Asma Basharat, Ms. Umber Nisar, Ms. Samia Asloob, Mr. Anique, and Mr. Fakhir Shaheen, coordinated by Dr. Nosheen Sabahat. Junior student volunteers from the Academic Administrative Learning Experience Program, supervised by Ms. Umber Nisar and led by Mr. Abdul Basit, played a crucial role in the event’s arrangements.

The department expressed gratitude to the students, guests, and faculty for contributing to the success of COMSPEX Fall 2025.
