Chitral: The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at the University of Chitral, in partnership with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), successfully wrapped up a four-day Adventure Tourism Training Program designed for students.
The training program featured practical sessions in trekking, rock climbing, ice skating, mountain cycling, paragliding, and safety techniques, all conducted by professional trainers from KPCTA. The initiative aimed to provide students with the skills needed for the expanding adventure tourism sector in Chitral.
A brief closing ceremony marked the end of the program, during which participants received certificates acknowledging their active participation. Both the University of Chitral and KPCTA reiterated their commitment to promoting youth engagement and sustainable tourism development in the region.
Muhammad Ali Syed, Director of Projects and Events at KPCTA, emphasized the importance of such programs in instilling a spirit of adventure and tourism among the youth of Chitral. He noted that these activities are vital for a healthy society and contribute positively to the nation’s image. He expressed gratitude to Mr. Danish Ali, a lecturer at the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, for his efforts in organizing the event.
